Terms and Conditions
Warranty Terms:
- We offer a 12-month parts warranty, except for plastic and electronic PCBs, which are covered for 3 months only.
- Labour is covered for 3 months.
- There is no warranty on service call fees or call-out fees.
- Warranty does not cover blockages, insect damage, or moisture damage to appliance parts.
- Any additional customer repairs on the same appliance are at the customer’s expense.
- Payment is due upon completion of repairs.
- Non-domestic use of household appliances only includes a 30-day parts warranty and a 14-day labour warranty.
- There is no warranty on service call fees or call-out fees for non-domestic use.
Order In/Special Order/Customer Request Orders:
- Special order (buy-in) parts are non-returnable and non-refundable, and full payment is required before ordering.
New Appliances:
- All new appliances come with the manufacturer’s full warranty. Please contact the manufacturer for warranty inquiries.
Quotes:
- All quotes are valid for 14 working days or while stock lasts.
- Approval for this quote is required within 14 working days. If approval is not received within this timeframe, you will be invoiced for the service call and labour for the technician’s attendance.
Cooktop Installation
At Norwest Appliance Service, we prioritise a seamless cooktop installation process. Here’s an overview of our services:
Cooktop Installation:
Please note you are purchasing a like-for-like cooktop installation package. This means that the new cooktop being installed will be of the same type as the one being replaced, and it will connect to the existing connections without any alterations to the location or size of these connections.
Preparation:
Before each installation, our skilled team assesses the installation area to identify any existing damage or potential hazards. We also verify that the new oven dimensions align with the available space.
Please note that all cooktops and ovens specify different clearances and ventilation requirements. Appliances will not be installed unless cabinetry is to manufacturers specifications.
Installation Service:
- Deliver cooktop
- Disconnect & Remove old cooktop
- Install new cooktop
- Secure cooktop in place
- Show customer how to operate cooktop
- Remove all rubbish and clean installation area
Norwest Appliance Service installation will only cover appliances that are like-for-like in size and requirements. However, if extra work is required, extra charges will apply.

Oven Installation

Oven Installation:
Please note you are purchasing a like-for-like oven installation package. This means that the new oven being installed will be of the same type as the one being replaced, and it will connect to the existing connections without any alterations to the location or size of these connections.

Before each installation, our skilled team assesses the installation area to identify any existing damage or potential hazards. We also verify that the new oven dimensions align with the available space.
Please note that all cooktops and ovens specify different clearances and ventilation requirements. Appliances will not be installed unless cabinetry is to manufacturers specifications.

- Install new oven
- Secure oven in place with fixing screws or tilt brackets
- Install oven racking
- Show customer basic operation of oven
- Remove all rubbish and clean installation area

Dishwasher Installation

Installation Service:
Our comprehensive installation service includes the following steps:
- Deliver dishwasher
- Disconnect & remove old dishwasher
- Install new dishwasher and connect to existing water and power. In some cases, this may involve cutting a minimum 70mm cabinetry hole to accommodate the Anti-flood hose protector
- Level appliance
- Run dishwasher through test cycle to check all functions & make sure there are no leaks
- Show customer basic operation of dishwasher
- Remove all rubbish and clean installation area

Dryer Installation

- Mount bracket to wall (extra works may be needed depending on wall type)
- Install new dryer
- Show customer how to operate dryer
- Remove all rubbish and clean installation area

Extra Work and Charges:
Our standard installation service covers appliances that are like-for-like in size and requirements. However, if additional work is necessary, it will be quoted & charged separately. This may include:
- Adding new water outlets
- Installing new power points
- Installing complete new water lines
- Installing complete new power circuits
- Running extension hoses for washing machines and dishwashers
- Wall penetrations for ducting
- Minor cabinetry work
- Roof penetrations for the ducting of rangehoods
- Cutting down flue covers for rangehoods
- Any modifications to cabinets to bring to Australian Standards/manufacturers specifications
- Installing new stainless steel surrounds for ovens and cooktops
- Installing timber and stainless steel panels
- Cutting timber benches and oven surrounds
- Cutting stone and granite benches
- Adding new gas points
- Converting natural gas to LPG
- Installing duct for dryers
- Timber support for dryer brackets
Appliance Installation Exclusions:
Please take note that we have not included any provisions for unforeseen joinery and benchtop adjustments or the provision of valves, gas hoses, circuit breakers, circuits, fuses, power points, ventilation holes, or trims/filler panels in the standard installation package. Should any of these additional services be required, our installer will provide you with a quote that must be approved before any planning or work commences.

- Installing stainless steel trims: Starting from $350.00
- Installing stainless steel infill panels: Starting from $110.00
- Installing pine trims or infill: Starting from $100.00

- Installing new flexi gas hose: $49.00
